The Lansdale Business Association was originally established over 40 years ago as the Lansdale Merchants Association to promote retail shopping along Main Street in Lansdale Borough. In 1996, the association incorporated as a non-profit 501C under it's current name. The association is a member run organization with bylaws that provide guidelines for membership and operations. An annually elected executive committee, currently consisting of 9 members with 4 officers meets at least monthly for planning and day to day decisions in the operation of the association related to meetings, projects and other activities for the benefit of its members. The mission statement stated within the bylaws and shown in the image on this page provide much of the guideline for committee decisions.

In the past, the association has obtained state funding for main street improvements and facilitated other worthwhile projects for the benefit of it members and the Borough of Lansdale.
